Meet Oslyn, the visionary founder of ConceptionPoint, the parent company of HerHealthHorizons, who first dreamed of creating a space to connect and uplift women from diverse backgrounds. This vision came to life with the Stronger Together Retreat, a meaningful and intimate gathering on the shores of Chesapeake, Maryland. This initial event laid the foundation for a transformative journey, that evolved into the Waves of Wisdom Summit. Inspired by her Caribbean heritage and a deep belief in the power of community, Oslyn crafted these events to address the unique challenges faced by women, especially those of Caribbean descent, creating an environment rich with understanding, support, and empowerment.
From the get-go, Oslyn recognized the importance of crafting a safe, nurturing environment where women could openly share, explore, and grow together. It’s all about finding balance and thriving amidst the complexities of life, whether it’s juggling family dynamics, navigating partnerships, managing finances, or prioritizing self-care.
Her inaugural 3-day retreat, held on March 8th, 2024, in the serene settings of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, was a testament to her dedication. Gathering 30 women, she fostered a space of mutual respect and understanding, sparking conversations that resonated deeply and created lasting bonds.Although Oslyn humbly admits she’s new to organizing summits, her passion for creating transformative and engaging experiences shines through. The Waves of Wisdom Summit is more than an event; it’s a manifestation of her commitment to empowering women to excel in every facet of their lives.
